In The Dark

Welcome to In The Dark!

A simplistic PvP map based off of the strange effect of setting your gamma to a negative number.

The goal is very simple. Be the last one remaining in a small and enclosed village. The hard part is being able to see your opponents through the darkness. Can you survive the longest?

 Not only must you fight others, but you must also keep your sanity intact aswell.

 When left in the dark, with no light source nearby, you will begin to lose your sanity. If you stay in the darkness long enough, you will eventually die. This meter can be measured through the audible heartbeat you hear in-game.

 Holding your lantern or simply being near one of the light sources will calm you down and protect you. Use this wisely however, because every time you hold your lantern, you become visible to all players nearby.

• You MUST have your gamma set to "-1.0". Otherwise, this map is useless.
• You MUST have optifine 1.14.3 installed when you play. Otherwise, this map is useless.
• After downloading optifine, you MUST turn on "Dynamic Lights" in your options.
• Do NOT change your brightness at all when you play. Otherwise, your gamma value will reset and the map is useless.
